WHY DHOLERA, GUJARAT ?

  • A city larger than Singapore.
  • Port city of Dholera SIR will be developed 6 times bigger than China’s financial capital Shanghai and tow times bigger than Delhi.
  • It’s a dream project of Honorable Prime minister of India Shri Narender Modi.
  • Dholera special investment region (DSIR) is a Greenfield industrial city planned and located approximately 100 km. south west of Ahmedabad.
  • The Government of Gujarat has established a legislative framework for the formation of the Special Investment Region Act 2009.

  • Dholera’s Immediate city development area of approximately 5,600 acres is expected to be operational by 2019.

  • It will also have its own self-sustaining eco-system, while industry will be the main economic driver.

DMIC (Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor) :

  • The Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC) is a special purpose company to establish, promote, and facilitate the development of the DMIC Project.
  • DMIC (Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor) is a Central Government initiative aimed at developing greenfield industrial cities as “Smart Cities” with next-generation smart hi-tech technologies.
  • The project focuses on creating futuristic industrial cities with high-speed, high-connectivity enabled by the Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC).
  • DMICDC undertakes project development services for investment regions, industrial areas, economic regions, industrial nodes, and townships for various central government agencies.
  • DMICDC also assists the state governments with the development of Dholera Smart City.
